How Does RF Microneedling Work?

Microneedling used to be the “go-to” procedure for a host of skin issues caused by aging, sun damage, or scarring. Like Microneedling, RF Microneedling is safe, but it is considered to be more effective because it can deliver energy precisely at the chosen depth and intensity.

It is innovative because its “smart” technology is very sensitive and gives the provider real-time feedback, while delivering energy that is consistent and optimized to suit each client’s needs based on variables such as:

Skin type
Skin color (including tanned skin)
Sun exposure
Age
Skin condition/severity of issues
Skin looseness

The Microneedling component of the treatment creates micro-wounds that provoke a healing response. The growth factors that are released from the micro-injuries promote collagen and elastin formation, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring. The RF component levels up the process by delivering energy which heats the deeper layers of the skin. This leads to constriction of the deeper layers, tightening the skin faster and more profoundly.

The results? Reduced skin laxity, diminished jowls, and enhanced skin remodeling! There is real-time feedback throughout the process to control depth, intensity and consistency.

The speed of your results will depend on the state of your skin, severity of issues at the onset of treatment, and how fast your body reacts to the healing process. While results can be seen after one treatment, it may take two or three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to reach your beauty goals.

What To Expect From Your Treatment

During Treatment

Numbing is applied and the procedure is quiet and painless. Total duration would be about 1 hour.

Post Procedure Care

There will be some redness for 1-2 days post-procedure. In this treatment, your skin is being forced to turn over. You may feel old skin rise to the surface (which can appear as rough, bumpy, or even patterned skin for a few days). In time that will soften and go away, with redness and discomfort that is lesser than a laser treatment or regular microneedling.

Recovery Period

No downtime — normal activities can be resumed, except for heavy exercise, right after the treatment.

Results are long-lasting and though improvement can be seen after 1 treatment, it is better to have 2-3 treatments scheduled 4 weeks apart.
